"Now is the right time to stand up and be counted among compatriots of like minds. Please join us so that together, we can make Nigeria great again”

The Stand Up 4 Naija Project is an unprecedented, ambitious and volunteer-driven citizens enlightenment project that aims to galvanize every eligible Nigerian of voting age to become actively involved in the electoral process. Organized by Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), we are asking neighbors to talk to neighbors, and find out their hopes, fears and dreams for our country. Together, we expect to speak to millions of Nigerians from all ages, all backgrounds and all walks of life. Each conversation will help take the pulse of Nigeria in 2018 and help map a blueprint for the future.

The first step is to volunteer. To get involved, email: with your name and contact information. There are three ways to receive the survey: 1) via a free smartphone app called Ecanvasser. 2) a hard copy, or 3) via a web-based link. Let us know which method you'd prefer and we will get you started. The next step is to complete the survey. It takes about five minutes to finish, and the majority of the questions are open-ended so you can speak your mind. There are no right or wrong answers. And there are no canned responses that force you to choose answers that don't actually describe how you feel. To ensure The Stand Up 4 Naija Project is a success, we are asking each volunteer to then talk to at least five people in their community.

The survey will be available from February 1 to April 30, 2018. Please share the survey with as many people as possible. Take it to your local vendor, parks and gardens, book clubs, coffee meetings and any other large gathering.

Alliance for New Nigeria is working with researchers and pollsters on this project. The answers will be carefully analyzed and then shared publicly in a series of town hall meetings across the country. The goal is to bring Nigerians together to kick-start the process of engendering a generational leadership shift. If the last few years have taught us anything, it's that our needs new set of leaders who has what it takes to move the country forward. It takes planning, teamwork and good old-fashion hard work. It takes you. #TheStandUp4NaijaProject
